LogYourRun for the iPhone

The LogYourRun iPhone App uses the built-in GPS of the iPhone as well as the built-in accelerometer of the iPhone and iPod Touch to measure the distance of your exercise activities. By working both as a pedometer and a GPS device you do not have to wait to get good satellite reception to start your run - the pedometer will measure your distance when the GPS signal is poor.

LogYourRun Website Integration

The LogYourRun App allows you to easily upload your exercise data to LogYourRun.com. In addition – the application can store your username and password – and has a built-in LogYourRun mobile site browser - so you will not have to login to the mobile site.

Intervals. The App also keeps track of your distance and time for each unit of distance traveled. This will be uploaded to LogYourRun and can be reviewed graphically both on the mobile site and the full website.

Maps, Routes and Elevation

In addition to measuring your distance you will be able to upload your route and see nearby routes and show off your routes. See local routes by closest routes or by latest routes so you can see what people are running at this time of the year. Over 100,000 routes have been logged at LogYourRun from all over the world. You can also see the elevation of the routes right on your iPhone - elevation data is downloaded and requires internet connection.

Heart Rate

The LogYourRun iPhone application can get heart rate data from both digital and analog heart rate straps. If you have an ANT+ enabled heart rate strap you need to get the WahooFitness fisica. If you have an analog strap - check out the 60beat heart rate connector.

For heart rate the LogYourRun application will automatically calculate your average heart rate for your activity and show you a heart rate graph for your activity. In addition, if you setup heart rate zones, it will calculate the time you spent in each of these zones. All heart rate information can be uploaded to your free LogYourRun account for future review.

Training programs

Select a training program on LogYourRun.com and you will be able to download your training program straight to your iPhone. This way you can always see what your training program have coming up for you.

Social Network Integration

Share your activities on Facebook, Twitter and the social network for active people - Dailymile.com. The LogYourRun application can upload your activity to both Facebook and Twitter with the click of a button. In addition, the LogYourRun app features Tweet My Distance - use this to automatically update your twitter account with your distance and pace as you are running. Music

Setup playlists, play/pause and skip to the next or previous song without exiting the app.

In case of emergency contact information

You can store name and phone number of your emergency contact in the app. If you need to get hold of your emergency contact press the ICE button after unlocking the phone. Can do direct calls on iPhones or show phone number and name on iPod Touch.
