Now you can enjoy your LogYourRun routes on the road as well! We have added the option for downloading any route you can see on LogYourRun to your Garmin GPS watch.
To download the route click the Garmin link on the View Route page. This will download a .tcx file to your computer that contains the coordinates of your route.
To import the route into the Garmin Training Center(TM) go to the file menu and select "Import Courses". Then find the place where the .tcx file was downloaded and select Open. Your LogYourRun route should now be showing in the list of routes in Garmin Training Center(TM).
Next time you synchronize your watch you can select to upload the route to your watch.
Please note: We have tested this feature on the Garmin Forerunner 305 using Garmin Training Center(TM) 3.2.3 - but hope that it works on other versions of Garmin GPS watches. Also, the routes in the training center are not 100% accurate - we are not sure if it is the GPS coordinates of Google or Garmin that are slightly off.
