Graph your Data
ImageWe have launched a new way that will allow you to create custom graphs of your running data. Using the new Google graph API we have been able to make colorful custom graphs. For now you can choose between run, bike, swim, cross and walking data and you can graph either as distance, time, pace or speed.

We would love to hear your comments and suggestions

Import data function errors
We have been having some issues with the import data function where data from Coolrunning has not been importing correctly. We believe that the import function has been fixed and we are very sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused to our users. If you have been importing multiple times and have ended up with duplicate records please let us know and we can completely erase all your imported data - this will allow you to start over with the import script.

Garmin GPS tools
If you have a Garmin GPS watch you can now import your favorite routes directly from the watch into LogYourRun saving you the effort of tracing it on the map. The route import feature can be found on the left menu in the routes section and requires that you are signed in.

You can also enjoy your's and other people's LogYourRun routes on the road as well! We have an option for downloading any route you can see on LogYourRun to your Garmin GPS watch.

Import / Export
You do all the hard work - so we want to make it easy for you to have full access to your running log data.

Running Log Data

If you have been keeping a running log using an excel spreadsheet or another running log website and would like to import this data into your LogYourRun running log you can use the import data functionality. At the moment we have a generic spreadsheet you can put your data into and we have an import filter for data from the coolrunning website. If you have data in another format please let us know and we will create a new import filter.

Exporting your data is done from the review data page of the running log. The data will be exported to an excel file that you can save on your computer and manipulate however you would like.

Routes

Routes can be exported from the route view. When viewing the route there will be a [G] icon in the bar next to the route name - this will allow you to download the route as a .tcx file that can be imported into Garmin Training Center(TM). If you wish to use the route in another program you can translate the .tcx file to almost any other GPS type file using the GPS babel at www.gpsvisualizer.com/gpsbabel/ .

Importing routes can be done using the "import route" link on the route page. We only have import filters for Garmin .tcx files - but again using GPS babel at www.gpsvisualizer.com/gpsbabel/ you can create a .tcx file from almost any type of GPS file.

Blogging Tools
LogYourRun has a variety of widgets / gadgets that you can use to add LogYourRun functionality to your blog or website. The widgets can be easily added to your website using the code supplied at widgetbox.

You can share your weekly progress using the "my week" widget located at http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/logyourrunmyweek. you will need a code to identify you to the server so we know what data to display. The code can be found at http://www.logyourrun.com/index.php?option=com_running&task=embedweekview. There you can also find the source code that you can add to your blog to display this widget.

You can also share your routes or any public route. When you go to the route view you will see a [B] icon in the top bar next to the email this route link. This icon will take you to a page that has the source code that you will need to add to your homepage or blog. If you prefer to use the widgetbox widget you can grab the code from the URL of the route and use the following widget http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/logyourrunroute.
