| There is no other perfect bond between a runner & his shoe. When talk about run, the first thought crossed my mind is a good pair of reliable shoe. Ever since I decided to embark into the journey of my first marathon training program, I was so obsessed with running stuff. The major ones are the wide variety of shoes in the market.
Though my trusted old trainers (NB 202) will have to be replaced, choosing a new one was never an easy task. I started blindly by purchasing a pair of Nike Zoom Victory+ which was an unwised option. For a first trainer, the Zoom Victory was indeed a non-compliance shoe. It is a lightweight & meant for neutral feet. Reluctantly due to it's gorgeous looks, I had to let it go to my brother who was a nike lover but not a runner.
After getting my feet test at Adidas, the hunt for stability shoes started. I have a mild pronation during take-off on my left foot. No wonder my knee will hurt when I did hill runs or fartleks.
The best purchased after Zoom Victory was my Adidas Supernova Control 10. Came across at PKNS Sport Depot, Bangi with a very attractive price. I've been eyeing the shoe from other shops for a year but due to it's steep price, it was never a dream come true.
Once the feel of running turned addicted, I was craving for more. This time, I was hunting for pair of lightweight & supportive shoe which I plan to use it for races. Adizero Tempo was picked with only 10% discount since it's a new comer.
Now, my heart & mind are stuck to Asics Gel Kayano 14. Despite it's release in March, the price tag is still too steep. I tried a pair yesterday with a pair of GT 2130 but the feel of feet hugging was awesome. Just like the first time I tried Control 10 but softer. |
