At times it's nice to feel like a badass

Just wanted to blog on hear about running in bad/extreme

weather and how I simply love it- I love running when it's

cold, in a blizzard, a downpour, hot as hell and everything else.

Whenever I run in more extreme conditions I get a slight

sense of pride, because it's not the ideal time to run. And

whenever I run past people in their cars or houses I want

them to be thinking or saying "That guy's insane running in

this heat/rain/snow!!!" I feel cool at those moments-

Does anyone else ever get this feeling?

YES. I remember my first half marathon. It was about 15 degrees with a light snow fall. The Gatorade was frozen. I waited in the car with the heat on until about 5 minute’s before the start and headed to the crowd. It was miserable, and I loved it. I could not have lived with myself if I didn't show up. I mean, I had already paid to enter. And now that race comes up every time I talk about running. The photo of me with my beanie covered in frozen sweat says it all.
