| Today, I had to take the car in for an oil change, and since I was in Racine, I decided to go downtown and run from there. When I lived in Somers, I exported runs to different counties more often, but now that I live in downtown Kenosha, it is hard to leave. Kenosha just has so many good running areas, it is hard to motivate myself to drive somewhere else.
So I parked at Pershing Park on the lake, found some free parking, and then skirted the lakeshore to the Water Treatment Plant, and then looped through downtown and across the Root River for a short loop. Decided to save north Main Street, which is spectacular for the end.
The flowers were blooming and 6 Street, the last stretch, was absolutely beautiful with flowering trees on both sides of the boulevard to the lake.
Brought the runnercam along. It is fun to capture the scenery, especially this time of year, but it is also a means of distracting from fatigue and pain. Got some great shots. It was also great to see some new scenery. |
