| Went out this morning for a second attempt at 7 miles. Made sure I kept hydrated this week, had to run on dreadmill during the week because I was traveling, but went pretty fast (two 4-milers at about 8.24 min per mile). I was a bit nervous, but my only goal was to complete the run without walking. Speed not relevant, just keeping one foot in front of the other.
My legs were a little heavy, but I did it and it was such a nice day!! Overcast and just chilly enough...I took an old familiar route and finished in 1.01:30, or 8:46 per mile. I'll have to look back and see how long my first 7 miler took me back in October.
Anyway, the stretching felt REALLY good afterwards, and I have a good sense of accomplishment. I'm going to work on pacing...I always go out way too fast. I'll fiddle with the setting and see if I can't figure out how to set a more consistent pace, maybe I won't tire out on the hilly parts so quickly.
