3 Mile Training

I ran my second 3 mile training run of the week and was not mentally up to running too hard. I ran at what felt like a much slower pace than my last 3 mile run. When I finished, I was surprised to see that my slower and easier pace was only 10 seconds per mile slower than when I pushed it. I need to keep that in mind when I run the marathon when my ego tells me that I need to push it.
