Spartan month continues..

| Even though still on schedule to do 250+ miles for the month of June, I'm struggling a bit. The running has slowed, and the knees are starting to complain, aching. The extra weight isn't melting off like I had planned for, either.
The runners who run more than 100 miles a week, HOW do they do it?!!!!!
The Tuesday track work has been challenging. I've been getting there early to run six or seven miles before the group work-out starts, trying to squeeze in the extra mileage. It's very good training, but it has been taxing nonetheless...
Even though I feel a bit low right now, hopefully the body will adapt and this will toughen me up for the trail 50k in July.
The 50 mile race in October has long uphill and downhill stretches, so I'm seeking out similar terrain to run once a week and train my legs to be able to handle them. I did notice that it's quite annoying to run more than a mile downhill, however gentle. Have to work on that.
