Ran 6.5!
Monday, 24 May 2010 - Written by sglaspy [profile]
Felt great after running 6.5mi for the first time in a month probably. Today starts our company's fitness event, so that should help keep me honest. Additionally, today, for the first time, I posted my running entry onto Facebook... I think this too will help keep me on track. Let's hope. I need to learn to be disciplined!

That is awesome! Are you training for anything or just general fitness? I know that I can be disciplined, but I have to have high motivation. I have to have that something to work toward. If I miss a workout then my ability to accomplish my goal is in jeopardy.

Getting Back
Thursday, 20 May 2010 - Written by sglaspy [profile]
Getting back to running after a bit of a hiatus (sp?) is not easy. I ran 3.2 miles yesterday and again this morning. My back is a little achy now. I am trying to listen to my body. I wanted to run 4 today, but my inner right calf was feeling a little tweaky so I decided to round up after 3(ish). I'm out to get rid of my pudge belly, so this weekend I'll be definitely running at least 6 miles on either Sat or Sun. :)

FAT
Wednesday, 19 May 2010 - Written by sglaspy [profile]
Saw a picture of myself from this weekend and decided that enough was enough... I have got to lose these pounds that are making me hate looking at pictures of myself.

Ran a few miles today at lunch and plan to run some more tonight.

Running Sick 2.0
Thursday, 08 April 2010 - Written by sglaspy [profile]
So, I had just had to jump on here and say that though I ran despite my cough, I am so glad I did, because I feel so energized. Glad I did!
johnnyk8 says:

Rock on! When I'm sick I usually run and after the first mile or two I'm good to go. If I have a chest cold I or am really fatigued I stay in.

I'll stay in for one or two days at most. Being healthy helps, you recover faster.

eigenadam says:

Rock on. Running sick is hard, but I almost never regret it.

Running Sick
Thursday, 08 April 2010 - Written by sglaspy [profile]
I've had it with being sick. I was sick all through Lent, then I got better and then I got sick again. This time around my medicine will be running with a dash of actual meds too. BUT SERIOUSLY, let me train!!

I ran a mile today, then walked for a minute, ran another mile. Had a bit of a coughing fit the second mile.

PEP TALK TO SELF: I WILL WAKE UP TOMORROW AND RUN IN THE MORNING. I WILL KICK ASS -- MY OWN, INTO SHAPE. :)
