Why?

2 weeks into my learning to run program and I can barely run now. My knees feel like they have locked up and I cannot propel my legs into motion. No feat walking, but running? Ha. Fugghedaboutit.

I am very pissed off with my body tonight. I thoroughly enjoy my running time. I guess I will need to make a sacrifice. Instead of running every other day I will do M, W and F's from now on until I am feeling better and this w/e I will only walk. Perhaps I get some pool running in since I will be away and near the water. Or would that be a mistake?

Gah. Someone tell me this kind of thing happens and that it will go away.

It happens and it goes away. Keep it casual. Walk as much as you have to. As much as you can, keep your frequency up and the intensity low. Of course when you need days off, take them. We all struggle when starting out.

Yeah, I'm going to walk as often as I can this w/e and see how it goes by Monday. It is what it is. Ha.
