A rainy run
Wednesday, 05 May 2010 - Written by bige91 [profile]
Of course it started raining when I was farthest away from home so I got a little wet but it wasn't so bad since it was hot. I actually ran into a friend who just started running and it made me glad to see him get off the couch. I remember my first run a year and a half ago. Getting older isn't easy but I feel healthier now more than ever because of my running. I hope that he sticks with it. It would be nice to have a running partner.

It's good that your friend has started running, but I am not sure about the runnning buddy thing. Everytime I run with someone , they want to talk my ear off. I have limited abilities and find it hard to talk and run at the same time. I would rather run with them in silence and chat afterwards but it doesnt seem to work that way. Last year in my first half marathon, I ran with a friend who literally couldnt be quiet. If he wasn't chatting with me , he would start talking to the next closest runner. 13.1 miles of that. I would rather run in silence. So be careful wishing for a running partner. Good luck!

I hafta agree I hate talking and running. I'd rather run in silence. Apprecaite the beauty of where I am running and the music I'm listening to.

Yup, don't like to chit chat while running at all, but I do like having someone to run next to on some of my runs. Anything under 20 words during the run works for me :)

I agree, that's why I run at 5 AM. Total silence is one of the main ingredients.
