Oh My

Goodness. I was about a half mile into my run. Hitting the pavement hard, like a madman and my heart was racing. At least it felt like my heart was racing but I didn't receive any notification from my heart rate monitor. I decided to see how fast my blood pumper was working and much to my chagrin, darn heart rate wasn't showing on my watch.

I was wearing the strap. I had moistened the contacts. So I adjusted and checked again, nothing. Total bummer. I did what any reasonable runner would do and turned around .... well actually I just kept running.

I tested the heart rate strap again once I finished running and I'm still not getting a read out. Either I'm dead or the battery is. If you're reading this then I guess it's the latter. I'll test it again later today to confirm.

*Currently 28.76 miles ahead of my 2012 running mileage goal of 1,000 miles

Glad it was the battery and not you!!!!

And proud of you for continuing the run. I admit that I've let distractions like that throw me, to where I didn't finish the full planned activity.
