Today concludes the second week of our training program.

I thought that we would be way worse off than we are. But, here it is - the end of just our second week - and Beth and I have already made it to 4 miles. Of course we're not running continuously, and our pace is sketchier than I was hoping (avg of 12 minute miles), but we're improving and that's all that matters.

Last week was a burn because of the rain and miserable Boston weather...and the fact that we realised we were running on an 1/8 mile track and not a 1/4 track like we thought. But, we readjusted our logs and are back on track with the program.

After the first week my body changed shape dramatically. My ass has all but disappeared (d'oh), but I think it's a signal of good things to come. We've added an ab workout to the end of the run, and we're keeping ourselves motivated by talking about the quickly approaching bikini season.

It helps that we're both newly single.
