Week 15 - Peak 30.8km

Week 15 came with nothing more than the pressure from the constant pounding of the foot on tarmacs & sidewalks. I was shakened by the race day closing in in less than a month. Fortunately enough, I had a detour to take off my mind from it to ease the stress.

My cross training after Week 14 LSD was magnificent. I was back on the saddle after a long abscent for more than 3 months. The Sunday ride to Langat clocking 71km in almost 3 hours managed to assist me in a big way. I was craving for more ride in the near weekends ahead.

With the burden off my head, I did the midweek runs with a different approach. Casually thought, I opted to run in my neighbourhood for the Tuesday & Thursday's 8km. It turned out to be awesome, pacing at 5.48 & 6.00 for each with my bought from sale fancy colored Adizero CS.

The Wednesday's sort-a-long run was squeezed in a hectic evening window which resulted in a haywire pace & clocking only 13.8km out of 16km. The only effort affordable.

The highest milage LSD in this 18 weeks training proram held on Saturday. The regular buddies were there. I approached the LSD with the same style...casually & not too excited about it. To make matters a bit more challenging, I missed my pre-run pasta dinner due to family emergency. Only managed to juice in 2 Kellogs bar & a serving of Horley's Sportfuel for carbos.

The LSD turned out to be fine & victorious for me. Though I only managed to clock 30.6km which is short by 2km due to miscalculation of route distance, the feeling was great. No sore legs & feet. No thirst & dry mouth. No short of breath hill climbs. Pace was kept steady averaging at 6.23. My Adizero Tempo served my feet gorgeously.
