| This June, I will be running further than I've ever ran in my life - 26.2 miles to be exact. I signed up with the South Texas Chapter of Team In Training; a Team that runs for a cause - it's the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
I woke up at 5:45am this past Saturday morning...crazy for someone that has never, ever had to wake up at this time on a Saturday morning. I arrived at our meeting place and was ready to go. We had a short meeting to discuss stretching techniques, hydration, and diet. Head coach and mentors or amazing and my teammates are awesome. We ran a light 3 miles. It was great!
Looking forward to this journey. I know it's going to be tough, but nowhere near as tough as the years of doctor visits, the months in chemo, and endless needles that cancer patients endure.
