| I did do it, and I am much happier about it today.
Here is how it went, we got there and it was CLEAR. We (Amanda and moi) registerred and got in the car to eat our oatmeal and it started to POUR!!! No even a little drizzle but POUR literally in 1mn. We just looked at eachother and said "uh oh". It kept pouring for the next 30 mn, finally at 7.52 am we had to leave the car. I put my ipod in a sandwich bag and in my jacket pocket.
Mile 1 was through a parking lot= puddles, not too fun.
I tried very hard to pace myself and stay close to Amanda, but I also wanted to go faster. She is not that much slower but I always get over excited.
I lost her at about mile 2.5 and by mile 3, I could not see her.
Meanwhile, it kept pouring.
At mile 6, the drizzle lightenned up a bit, so I took my ipod out for 2 seconds and put back a song that I liked. Other than that, I never touched it, nor increased the volume.
