Dazed...got the standing 8 count - 2010/08/30 10:52 It's a pretty thin line between encouragement and discouragement. I use to see I was behind where I thought I should be (slow pace, mile/time check) and it would encourage me to give it a little more. Like seeing that lone racer in front of you causes you to surge a little. Lately though it's just like you described, instant deflation.

I hope to one day regain that ability to be able to pull out of a slower pace and step it up but right now I'm just letting pace fly out the window. It's been easier to let go of then I thought.

Congratulations on recovering your run, especially after taking a walk.
