Too sick to run? - 2010/03/22 20:23 I rarely take time off. The only exception in the last two years was just recently when I had a severe concussion. That put me off for 7 days. So take this with a grain of salt as I am a knucklehead.

The rule of thumb is if the tightness migrates to your chest you should NOT run. It's up to you to make the call but it would suck to push yourself a tad bit too far and end up derailing your groove even more than you would have if you just waited for it to pass.

Sleep is key. It heals your legs and it helps you fight off the virus too.

Re:Too sick to run? - 2010/03/23 09:36 Exercise boosts your immunity. I agree, just add A LOT more sleep and water and don't add 2 miles to your current max or cut 10 seconds off your mile time and you will actually be helping your body.
