The crazies have set in. - 2010/02/09 15:14 good for you for setting goals, but believe me when i say that breaking 2:00:00 for a half marathon is ONE HELL of a lot harder than breaking 60mins for a 10k - especially since you say you tend to slack on training.

i run a 5k in 26mins, a 10k in 55mins, and my time at the goodlife fitness half (oct 18/09) was 2:09:24. if you're going for a PR, do the goodlife one - it'll beat the living hell out of you, since a lot of it is downhill (except running up out of hoggs hollow - that sucks), but it's a fast course. scotiabank waterfront is pretty much flat.

best of luck!

Re:The crazies have set in. - 2010/02/16 11:07 thanks for the advice, mistressk! I don't really have a concept of length of time needed for that 1/2 marathon. Perhaps a good idea would be to reevaluate time goals after I have successfully completed the 10k. 2 hours is a pretty high goal for me.
