I woke up sore this morning. My quads and glutes are pretty sore, my neck is a little sore too from my ab workout from yesterday as well. I stretched and then went and only ran a little over 2 miles because I don't want to over do it on my first week back. I felt ok though while I was running. My throat is a little sore from yesterday's run, though, maybe because of the slightly chilled air that I was sucking. I may go for a swim later.

First Day Back

Today was my first workout since I've been out of the hospital. I ran for 20 mins, about 3 miles. I was sure tired afterward. Jumped rope 175 jumps. Legs will be tired tomorrow, I am sure of it.. most likely sore as well. I did notice,however, that I have one month to get my butt back into shape before we have to start running 90 min. distance runs. Wow... this is going to be fun :) I am recovering pretty well though, I am feeling better with each coming day. I still have to take a nap during the day because I become completely exhausted from trying to get back into my daily routine. But I am getting there! On the plus side, my blood work and my vitals are back up! Now it's just getting my muscles back in working order and getting myself into shape. I lost nearly 20 lbs of muscle mass and tone while I was sick... but I've gained about 8 lbs back already! The steroids boost my appetite... I feel like I'm always eating now. Anyway, I'll quit rambling until tomorrow.
